Statement by Oman at the Fifth Session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and other WMD
Oman strongly condemned Israel’s threats to use nuclear weapons and urged the international community to enforce safeguards over Israeli nuclear facilities and prevent such rhetoric. Improving the conference’s working methods is vital in making progress. It stressed the right of states to peaceful uses of nuclear energy and that the future zone shouldn’t impose additional restrictions impeding access to peaceful uses.Open document
